Connecting Resources and Expanding Access

At the core of AWC's mission is the commitment to improving healthcare access and delivery for every resident of Aurora. We begin with the establishment of a small primary care practice in North Aurora, providing comprehensive family medicine services. This clinic will serve as a focal point for the AWC model, aiming to bridge the gap in primary care services in our target zip codes.

Creating a Primary Care Practice

Our initial clinic will cater to approximately 3000 individual patients, from newborns to the elderly. This will allow us to better understand the unique healthcare needs of our community and build a foundation for future expansion.

Federally Qualified Health Center

With a long-term vision, we strive to attain FQHC status, enabling us to secure sustainable federal funding to care for Medicaid recipients and the uninsured. As we grow, our services will expand to accommodate up to 20,000 patients.

Holistic Care Approach

We recognize the vital role of social determinants of health in overall well-being. Therefore, our clinic will include care managers, social workers, pharmacists, and behavioral health providers to support the full spectrum of healthcare needs.

Advancing Skills and Supporting Career Pathways

Economic empowerment is a crucial aspect of creating a thriving community. At AWC, we believe in nurturing a culture of skill-building and supporting pathways to prosperous careers.

By focusing on education enrichment programs and collaboration with educational institutions, we aim to build a robust healthcare ecosystem and create employment opportunities for Aurora residents.

Educational Enrichment Programs

Partnering with Aurora Public Schools and Community College of Aurora, we will support educational programs that lead to viable healthcare career paths. By empowering individuals with knowledge and skills, we enhance their self-efficacy and future opportunities.

Building Transferable Skills

Our approach to healthcare education will go beyond specific roles. We will equip individuals with skills that can benefit other industries, fostering a dynamic and adaptable workforce.

Supporting Wealth-Building and Evaluation

Well-being is the cornerstone of a thriving community. To promote prosperity and ensure our initiatives' effectiveness, we focus on supporting wealth-building and harnessing the power of data and evaluation.

Through these efforts, we seek to empower individuals and families to lead fulfilling lives.

Promoting Wealth-Building

Homeownership is a key social determinant of health in our community. Recognizing this, we prioritize efforts to close the wealth gap and create a more financially secure future for Aurora residents.

Leverage Data and Evaluation

In partnership with the University of Colorado Center for Health Equity, we will leverage data and continuous evaluation to inform and enhance our vision and mission.

By staying data-driven, we ensure our initiatives create meaningful, sustainable impacts.

Join Our Journey to Empowerment

At Aurora Wellness Community, we are united by our values - we are inclusive, mission-driven, authentic, and resilient. We thrive on teamwork, building trust through collaboration with residents and community organizations.

Our commitment to excellence drives us to continuously improve and create financially sustainable services.

Aurora Wellness Community Provides Neighborhood Care for Medicare and Medicaid Recipients/Aurora Wellness Community Continúa Brindando Atención de Vecindario

These programs continue to serve Aurora residents every day. What’s changing most is the paperwork, not the current state of care. Our job, as part of this community, is to help one another stay informed and supported so that no one delays the care they need out of fear or confusion.
